The
Domaine de Ravoire
is one of the oldest vineyards in Valais: steep terraced slopes and protective natural stone walls, a vine house and the autochthonous Valais grape varieties characterize the image of this unique cultural landscape. Here grapes are cultivated, cared for and produced on old vines. Since 2006, the organization of the vineyard has been under the control of an independent limited company, Domaine de Ravoire SA, half owned by the Friends of Wine and half by Albert Mathier & Sons SA. A unique project in Switzerland, where the shareholders control the vines, the vinification, the sale and last but not least the taste of their own wines.
