“And why are you buying from us?”

Nadine Camenisch (44) from Malters, HR manager in the financial sector, plays golf (handicap 15), watches her horses, with whom she also participates in tournaments, and relaxes on long walks with her Labradoodle.

Rhoneblut: Mrs. Camenisch, how long have you been a customer of Albert Mathier & Sons?
Nadine Camenisch: I have been buying wine from Albert Mathier for three years.

RB: How did you become aware of our wines?
NC: I was interested in wine from Switzerland and Valais. During my research on the Internet, I came across Albert Mathier & Sons. The
Website appealed to me very much, and as a result I made my first order.

RB: Please tell us your favorite(s) from our range?
NC: My red wine favorite is the Rhoneblut®, among the whites I love the Parkwein®. But I also try something new every now and then.

RB: Apart from the Upper Valais, what other wine provenances and varieties do you particularly like?
NC: I love to cook, so I’m always looking for a wine to accompany, accompany, or crown the food. Provenances that particularly appeal to me are the Upper Valais, Ticino, the Bordeaux region and, of course, bella Italia.

RB: How, where and when do you prefer to enjoy wine?
NC: In summer, I like to drink a sparkling or fruity white wine with an aperitif; in winter, I prefer deep reds with a hearty meal. And whenever there is something to celebrate, a sparkling wine is simply part of the toast to the occasion in question.

RB: Do your wine preferences vary by season? And if so, how?
NC: As I mentioned, in summer I prefer the fruity and light varieties to the dark heavy ones, which I enjoy very much in winter in front of the fireplace.

RB: How and where do you find out about wines, novelties and news?
NC: I regularly receive the Rhoneblut newsletter from Albert Mathier & Söhne AG, otherwise I like to surf the Internet.

RB: Are wine ratings (Parker points, Weinwisser, Michael Broadbent and the like) relevant to you?
NC: Certainly the points are signposts for the quality of a wine. In the end, however, I think that wine preferences are similar to art. Either you like it or you don’t. Regardless of what others think about it.

RB: In a nutshell, why do you buy wine from us?
NC: I think the wine is quite simply excellent. It meets my taste. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Amédée Mathier personally. He is a winemaker with heart and soul, and it shows in his products. He knows how to make delicious wine.
